Thruxton
Not the happiest of weekends to report I'm afraid, my father passed away and I didn't get to Thruxton until qualifying.
I knew it was going to be hard and so it proved only lining up 6th and seventh for the two races.
The first race was a cracker, held in lovely conditions, if not a little too warm and every lap was eventful.
I slipped from 5th to seventh before out braking both Mark Spellar and Paul Rivett for third at the chicane, shortly after that Mark and I had a small coming together which saw us both slip back down the order and I managed to salvage sixth at the chicane, but what a race!
Sundays race held a lot of promise, we had made some set up changes and I was very confident of being on for a good result.
A good start put me at the front of the leading group but as I turned into the complex on the first lap I was pushed from the rear into the side of Phillip House, unfortunately this impact broke the front sub frame and it was game over.
Knockhill beckons in two weeks time so hopefully we can get back on form there.
