12th February 2007
For 2007 I'm doing something radically different, after four seasons of front wheel drive, saloon car racing in the Clio Cup I have decided to swap disciplines and learn a bit more about rear wheel drive, aerodynamic downforce and no roof!
Yes I have bought a new Radical SR4 in lurid orange with all the trimmings for this years Biduro championship featuring on the Dunlop Great & British Festivals.
Not only will I have the challenge of a new car and fresh techniques to learn, I will also be experiencing two new circuits - Spa in Belgium which I am really looking forward to and Pembrey in Wales which, well err I'm not.
The switch to radicals has reinvigorated my enthusiasm and I cannot wait to get testing. Dave Beecroft from Xero Competition will be running the car and I will be having two team mates in the form of newcomer Mitch Millet and a young driver in his second year of Radicals, Toby Newton.
Of course I will be keeping an eye on Clio's this season and will also be looking at another possibility of something very exciting and international, more information as I get it.
