Oh dear another bag full of excuses lifted from the book, there is not a great deal of success to report I'm afraid as TCR are still struggling to give any of its drivers a car to win with.

In testing we were a second of the pace, I was the fastest TCR runner all weekend and I was plagued with a car that was using its front tyres too quickly whilst the rear tyres were not doing enough, the result was killing our corner speed and thus lap times too.

Saturday was bright and warm and with I was out with new tyres which put me second on the grid early on, then our nemesis hit, I slipped to ninth as the others went quicker and my car went slower. In race one I managed to loose ground at the start and then fight back as others made errors, eventually I was ninth again and still lapping a second off the leaders pace but managing to catch a group of hard battling pilots ahead. At the last corner of the last lap Gavin Pyper left the door open and I swooped in and took eighth in a very tidy move, unfortunately the ex BTCC racer Mr Pyper didn't like that and smacked his car into mine on the slowing down lap, causing severe damage to both cars, his subsequent disqualification, 4 points on his licence and 8 off his championship total. They may be fast but some of these people ain't clever....

Come Sunday the heavens opened and racing was abandoned for two hours as the track was awash. Our race looked in doubt but we finally got out at 5.15pm and in the colder temperatures the car was a real handful to begin with - remember it wasn't working its' rear tyres? But once the car started working it was flying and I set a lap close to the fastest but could only finish ninth. This should have been eight as I put a classic move onto Alex Osbourse on the last lap at Tower only to find the officials had forgotten to flag the race and counted the result back to a lap earlier. Sums it up really.

I'm not going to race at Silverstone as the car isn't competitive although I feel I'm on top of my form. I fear I'm affecting my reputation adversely and I just cannot get any enjoyment out of racing for tenth place. More news on the future as it unfolds.
